BELA : Thanks very much. I'm out of one and a half million and on the bad side of a very powerful, fairly psychotic buyer. DEAN : Wow, I really don't feel bad about that. Sam? SAM : Nope, not even a little.
THE MA
Hi! My name's Mary Anne, though as most people call me MA, you're welcome to do the same. I've been role-playing online for just about two years (man, how time's flown).
Most posts are friends locked, as I tend to use this as an OOC journal. Feel free to add me, and I'll probably add you back!
A complete list of my characters, both retired and current, can be found here.
Most of my experience has been in the Harry Potter universe. I can go either canon or au, really, depending. I currently love time travel, because I like putting my trio era Susan Bones in the past. But I'm okay with canon as well. With canon, however, I tend to only play in marauder era games. I can't grasp the concept of games that take place during one of the seven years that the trio is supposed to be in school. Makes no sense to me. I've not done too much Postwarts, but who knows?
Especially in HP but in any other game I've played in, I usually take up characters that don't have a lot of canon backstory/information. Characters I don't think I could ever play: any member of the golden trio, Sirius Black (or any of the marauders, really), Regulus Black, Bellatrix Black Lestrange, Dumbledore, Voldemort, Lily Evans, Severus Snape. The main reason is that I just don't think I can get into the character enough to do them justice. The other common reason is that I've seen these characters played by amazing people and don't know if I could even come close to touching that.
Outside of HP, I've really only dabbled a bit in X-Men, and briefly at that.
Characters I've been most passionate about: Susan Bones, Frank Longbottom, Amelia Megan MacMillan, Greta Catchlove, Biddy Troy.
At the moment I'm not much in a game mood, but I dearly love my PSLs and am always looking for more. They're just more manageable for my schedule.
