Sorry for spamming today but:
Change of plans. We're supposed to get mad snow tomorrow, so I'm gonna pack up and leave after my final today. Wish me luck because I've never driven home in the dark and I will probably be pretty tired so I might die.
I have grades for geog, medieval lit, and the Joyce seminar: all A's. I got a 72% on the EGEE final, apparently, which puts my final grade at like 80% it looks like. :\ Oh well, it's my fault for not studying and always forgetting to take the online quizzes. As long as I actually manage to graduate college, I'm not really concerned about my grades, but it's still kind of a bummer. I hope I do well on the mythology final so I can get at least a B. I actually might be put on probation from the honors college next semester because my GPA is already pretty close to the minimum (which is like a 3.5 or some shit) and this will pull it down. I'm not sure what that'd entail since I'm graduating (hopefully) at the end of next semester and also I'm supposed to be doing my thesis. If I'm on probation do I not do it?
ETA: Hmm, apparently my GPA as of last semester is 3.73. So either the minimum is something ridiculous like 3.7 or I'm farther from it than I thought.
ETA2: Just sold my mythology text back for $30, bringing my total sell-back cash to $113.75. Baller. |

For, like, the past week I have woken up at about eleven thirty each day, thought to myself "OH TIME TO GET UP~" and then fallen asleep again, only to repeat the process at about twelve thirty, one thirty. And then get up at about two thirty/three in the afternoon bitching about getting up so late, rawr. And then not actually getting anything done. /complaining
Tomorrow I'm going ~shopping with mai friends. Maybe. Maybe, only becauseeee. Elizabeth might have to ~babysit~ because her life sucks or whatever. Or, WAY WORSE, she'll have to bring the kid, her father's girlfriend's ten-year-old son, with her. Why is that worse? Well, as I'm sure I've mentioned, I hatehatehate having children around me, especially boy children because they are rowdy as shit. Don't get me wrong, I like children when they're far away from me, or well-behaved and nice. Otherwise GET THEM AWAY because I can't handle/understand children and there incessant need to play with me/bug me/be jackasses/etc. I AM MEAN, I KNOW, OKAY. /complaining /complaining

Pretty sure I just rocked the shit out of my Medieval Lit final, and I got back the rush job paper afterwards. I got an A-, with which I am more than happy. Should be on track for an A in that course. Just checked my semester grades: nothing yet for the only other class I've taken a final in so far, but evidently I got a good grade on my Joyce paper because I got an A for that course as well.
Two more finals to go. One's later today, at 2:30, and one's at like 4:40 tomorrow. The geography one, which is the one later today, should be okay. Even if I don't do particularly well on the final, I have a 90% average for the tests, and the lab, in which I'll definitely have near 100% unless I bombed the final report, is 50% of the whole grade. I'm kind of worried about the mythology final, though, because those exams have been retarded thus far, and also (or, if we're being honest, primarily) because I barely did any reading. But we're allowed to have a cheat sheet, which should make up for things slightly. Need to write that out tonight or tomorrow.
Returned all my books but the mythology one the other day and made back $83.75. That's enough to buy me like an eighth of weed, two handles of liquor and some pizzas. I hope to spend most of break trashed. Can't wait to get the fuck out of here. Gonna try to do most of my packing tomorrow night. Might even load some stuff in the car, probably the TV and the TV stand, maybe clothes and shit too, then drive it back to the lot that night. Then I'll just need to load the computer and shit on Saturday.
I wrote a little for Jake last night, and I aim to get him finished and sent in today at some point. Then I guess I should hold Johnny (if that is to be his name) and get started on that? After I get home I should also start thinking more seriously about those other two ideas I had. I liked the flight controller idea for Matthew Goode, and I think I'm gonna go with the name Eli for him; it seems to fit for some reason. Still need a last name and... pretty much everything else, but a PB, a first name, and an occupation are a pretty good start, for me at least. I'll see what I can do about those drabbles, too, holiday and otherwise. I generally enjoy writing them, but sometimes it's hard to find inspiration, and I worry about characterization with dudes that don't belong to me. OH AND I NEED TO DO SNAPS TOO. DON'T LET ME FORGET. |

as i have told a few people, i'll be apping darren o'hare @ bw_mods. i can hear my oldest rp-friends loling heartily; darren is very, very dear and close to my heart. my very favorite character to play in HP is (aoife) moran, one of the chasers for the irish national quidditch team. because of her, i am a massive quidditch fan, which some people found out last night or the night before (btw, i would totally play beater.)anywhoodles, her hero was always, always darren o'hare of the kestrels. and we're talking spasm-inducing hero worship, capslocking, the works. having the opportunity to play him is hilarious and really exciting to me. ty to entouraage for pointing it out to me, to mbmargarita for being so generous and giving up the spot of 'puff keeper so i could keep darren in his canon position, and to the bw_mods for putting up with my hold coming in on no sleep, and in like 6 different comments.

I am now on ep. 7 of You're Beautiful, and I've already come to the following conclusions:
1. Jang Geun Seok is not that attractive. I don't know if it's because he's skinnier than I am or because I just don't like baby faces except for Kim Bum, but I can't warm up to him.
2. Go Mi Nam is annoying. Admittedly it's a terrible conceit to use even for a drama like this (a nun? Seriously?) but Yoon Eun Hye already did the "girl masquerading as boy" concept and she did it better, sorry.
3. Shinwoo is a terrible actor BUT HE IS HOT. I APPROVE. :D Mi Nam doesn't deserve his stalkerish devotion.
4. YOO HE YI IS AMAZING I LOVE HER. XDD She is so retardedly diva-ish, it's fantastic. She and Tae Kyung deserve each other, honestly.
5. OH AND JEREMY OMG I LOVE JEREMY. :D

I just finished reading Le Spleen de Paris, Baudelaire's collection of prose poems. I'm not much of a poetry person, but this is nothing like the poetry I ever read or learned in school. It's not called poems in prose for no reason, after all.

My Work Schedule thus far!
Sunday the 20th - 6:30 am -2:15 pm
Monday the 21st - 6:30 am-5:15 pm (Which is about a 10 hour day at work!!!)
Wed the 23rd - 11:15-7:30 pm
Satuday the 26th 5:30 am -7:30pm
The only good things are that I work 30+ hours that week and I get out early on Sunday. Besides that I am going to be very very tired and cranky. |
